In Baveno stands Villa Fedora, immersed in the coolness of the Municipal Park. Nineteenth-century residence witness of happy and fatal events: from the property of the great musician Umberto Giordano to a refuge for a wealthy Jewish family marked by a tragic fate as a body for needy mothers. Today it is owned by the VCO Chamber of Commerce, which has its headquarters here and has carried out restoration work. The luxuriant English park, populated by oaks, camellias, mimosas, azaleas, is open to the public all year round and in the summer months it is very popular for its beautiful beach and which in the afternoon is a refuge from the summer heat. The beach and the park, enriched by the inclusive play area and the new life path, are free of architectural barriers and can be used by everyone.
